Survey for N-Nitroso Compounds at Ford Dearborn Engine Plant, Dearborn, Michigan.
Thermo Electron Research Center, Waltham, Massachusetts 1978 Jan:7 pages
A survey was conducted at Ford Dearborn Engine Factory (SIC-3714) in Michigan to determine the extent of exposure to N-nitroso compounds in the machine shop environment where cutting fluid is used. Two samples were collected including a filter tank fluid and a floor cleaning fluid. The fluid was subjected to HPLC/TEA analysis. Acetone (67641) and hexane (110543) at a 1 to 1 ratio were used as the elution solvent at a flow rate of 2ml/min. No TEA responsive peak was detected in the floor cleaning fluid. No conclusion is given for the detection of N-nitrosodiethanolamine (1116547) in the tank fluid.
