Test Procedures and Requirements for Certification of Industrial Head Protective Devices.

Test procedures and requirements for certification of industrial head protective devices are reported. General requirements are outlined for Classes A, B, and C safety helmets with regard to electrical conductivity, strength, and construction materials. Performance requirements and tests are presented with respect to the impact resistance, insulation resistance, penetration resistance, flammability, and weight of the head protective devices described. The sequence of testing for all of the performance criteria presented above is outlined.
