Statistical Properties of Industrial Air Sampling Strategies. Technical Memorandum III: Statistical Extended Industrial Hygiene Field Study.

Several statistical design models considered useful in analyzing the extended field data to be collected by Clayton Environmental Consultants, are presented. Mathematical formulations provide the background and groundwork for experimental design models to be used in the extended industrial hygiene study; for a general way of developing the experimental design model in the framework of multivariate regression analysis; and for delineating some auxiliary features of the design model that must be considered. The average contaminant level over a period of time is to be tested as to whether or not it exceeds a threshold value. The statistical methods outlined verify the model's usefulness in decision procedures.
