NIOSH Backup Data Report Ethyl-Chloride S105 (Set 4).
NIOSH 1977 Jan:17 pages
A protocol for validation of a method for the collection and analysis of ethyl-chloride (75003) was tested. For validation, the absolute total air monitoring error (sampling and analysis) should be less than 25 percent in at least 95 percent of the samples analyzed at the level of the OSHA standard. Validation included analysis of 18 analytical samples spiked with the appropriate amount of ethyl-chloride; analysis of 18 samples collected from dynamically generated test atmospheres; determination of the breakthrough capacity of activated coconut charcoal (16291966) at high relative humidity; testing of the storage stability of collected samples; assessment of precision and accuracy of the method. The method passed all program requirements.
