NIOSH Analytical Method, Stibine, S243, (Set 2).

The method is described for determining stibine (7803523) in the air, including the principle, range and sensitivity, interferences, precision and accuracy, advantages and disadvantages, apparatus, reagents, calibration and standards, and calculations. The principle is based upon colorimetry of samples collected on mercuric- chloride coated silica gel after extraction with hydrochloric-acid. The range is 0.119-1.008 milligrams per cubic meter with a precision of 0.087 (coefficient of variation). The OSHA standard is 0.1ppm or 0.5 milligram per cubic meter.
