NIOSH Analytical Method, Hydroquinone, S57, (Set 2).

The method is described for determining hydroquinone (123319) in the air, including the principle, range and sensitivity, interferences, precision and accuracy, advantages and disadvantages, apparatus, reagents, calibration and standards, and calculations. The principle is based upon high performance liquid chromatography of a sample drawn through a mixed cellulose ester membrane filter and treated with aqueous acetic-acid. The range is 0.84-4.05 milligrams per cubic meter with a precision of 0.061 (coefficient of variation). The OSHA standard is 2 milligrams per cubic meter.
