The method is described for determining benzoyl-peroxide (94360) in the air, including the principle, range and sensitivity, interferences, precision and accuracy, advantages and disadvantages, apparatus, reagents, calibration and standards, and calculations. The principle is based upon high pressure liquid chromatography of a sample collected through a mixed cellulose ester membrane filter and extracted with ethyl-ether. The range is 3.12-19.10 milligrams per cubic meter with a precision of 0.060 (coefficient of variation). The OSHA standard is 5 milligrams per cubic meter.
