NIOSH Analytical Method, Acetic Acid, Backup Data Report S169, (Set 3).
NIOSH 1977 Nov:15 pages
The backup data report is given for validating the method for determining acetic-acid (64197) in the air. Samples were analyzed regarding the breakthrough capacity of activated coconut charcoal at high relative humidity, storage stability, and the precision and accuracy. Results of unsuccessful studies with Chromosorb 103 for collection are discussed. The coefficient of variation for the method is 0.058. Attachments include procedures for generation of test atmospheres, including a schematic of sample generation facilities, and of known humidity of the atmospheres as well as a summary of statistical terms and formulas.
