NIOSH Analytical Method, Tetraethyl Lead, Backup Data Report, S383, (Set 3).
NIOSH 1977 Nov:32 pages
Backup data are given for the analytical method for tetraethyl-lead (78002). The protocol for validation of the method consisted of the following: assessment of the photoionization detector and its applicability to a tetraethyl-lead gas chromatographic analysis; determination of a suitable sorbent, solvent system for collection and analysis of tetraethyl-lead; analysis of 18 samples spiked with tetraethyl-lead; determination of the breakthrough capacity of XAD-2 resin; evaluation of storage stability of spiked and collected tetraethyl-lead samples; and assessment of the precision and accuracy of the method.
