Abstract
The chemical structure, chemical abstracts service number, registry of toxic effects of chemical substances number, production figures and economic trends, uses, and producer and user data are given for acetonitrile (75058), acetone-cyanohydrin (75865), acrylonitrile (107131), adiponitrile (111693), benzonitrile (100470), n- butyronitrile, iso-butyronitrile (78820), glyconlonitrile (107164), and malononitrile (109773). The biological effects of exposure are described, including target organs, acute, subchronic and chronic effects, and human effects. Acetonitrile has some teratogenic effects. Threshold limit values and some suggested other standards are given. (Contract No 210-77-0120)
