Abstract
The molecular structure, chemical abstracts service number, registry of toxic effects of chemical substances number, production figures and economic trends, uses, and producer and user data are given for ferric-ammonium-citrate (1185575), ferric-nitrate (7782618), iron- carbonyl (13463406), ferric-chloride (7705080), ferrous-sulfate (7720787), ferric-oxides (1309371), ferrous-chloride (7758943), and ferrocene (102545). The biological effects of exposure are described, including target organs, acute, subchronic and chronic effects, and human effects. The primary effects are on the gastrointestinal system and central nervous system; carcinogenic effects are possible. Some threshold limit values and other standards are given.
