Abstract
The molecular formula, chemical abstracts service number, registry of toxic effects of chemical substances number, production figures and economic trends, uses and producer and user data are given for 13 fumigants: trichloronitromethane (76062), bromomethane (74839), methyl-isothiocyanate (556616), 1.2-Dichloroethane (107062), 1,2-di- bromomethane (106934), carbon-disulfide (75150), carbon- tetrachloride (56235), ethylene-oxide (75218), 1,2-dibromo-3- chloropropane (96128), 3,5-dimethyl-1,3,5-(2h)-tetrahydrothiodiazine- 2-thione (533 to 744), and sodium-n-methyldithiocarbamate (137428). The biological effects of exposure to these substances are described, including target organs, acute, subchronic, and chronic effects, and human effects. Some threshold limit values and other standards are given. (Contract No 210-77-0120)
