Abstract
The third part of the NIOSH Manual of Analytical Methods, Part II, Standards Completion Program Validated Methods, Second Edition, contains a series of data sheets for a total of 115 chemicals of varied nature. Validation data are given for concentrations of the compounds in the air ranging from about half as much to twice as great as the levels established by the prevailing OSHA standards. For each compound, details are given as to the principle of the method, range and sensitivity, interference, precision and accuracy, advantages and disadvantages of the method, apparatus, reagents, procedure, collection and shipping of samples, analysis of samples, determination of desorption efficiency, calibration and standards, and calculations.
