Abstract
Basic information is given on occupational dermatoses including definitions, the physiologic protective attributes of skin, primary irritants' role, the role of sensitizers, secondary effects, diagnosis, and classification of lesions. An extensive list of occupations is given with the agents frequently associated and capable of producing a dermatosis.
