Workers' Compensation Administration.
NIOSH 1977 Jul; :18-20
Some advice is given to physicians to help them work more efficiently with the workers' compensation administration. The physician should be familiar with the state's laws, and with the procedures of the agency. Accurate and efficient reporting could help reduce the cases which involve litigation. Occupational diseases are on the increase, and physicians should be knowledgeable about the major local industries, particularly if many patients are employed in them. Physicians ought also to be active in worker's compensation reform, either individually or as an activity of the local medical society.
