Manual describing 337 sampling and analytical methods for use in industrial hygiene environmental monitoring. Some of the procedures are useful for measuring toxic constituents in blood, urine, or body tissue, but the majority are intended for use in personal air exposure monitoring. Many of the procedures described have been recommended to OSHA for use in their compliance monitoring program. Some of the methods were developed by NIOSH through contracts or interagency agreements, while others were developed and evaluated by NIOSH researchers or adapted from procedures found in the literature.
