A method is described for the analysis of cadmium (7440439) dust in the air by drawing a known volume of air through a filter to collect the analyte followed by acid digestion and determination of cadmium with an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Data are given on the principle, range and sensitivity, interference, precision, accuracy, advantages and disadvantages of the method. Also described are the apparatus, reagents, and procedures used, analysis of samples; interferences; calibration and standards; and calculations.
