Abstract
The standard method is described for the determination of DDT (50293) in the air for use in compliance with the OSHA standard of 1.0 milligram per cubic meter. The air sample is drawn through a glass fiber filter, with subsequent analyte extraction by iso- octane, analysis by gas chromatography, and comparison with reference samples. The method has been validated over the range of coefficient of variation in the test sampling was 0.061. Other information and data are given on the interferences, advantages and disadvantages, apparatus, reagents, procedure, calibration and standards, and calculations.
