Abstract
The standard method is described for the determination of boron- oxide (1303862) in air for use in compliance with the OSHA standard of 15 milligrams per cubic meter. The air sample is drawn through tared polyvinyl-chloride filters which are then subjected to gravimetric analysis. The method has been validated over a range of 7.8-27.7 milligrams per cubic meter, with a coefficient of variation of 0.056. Other information and data are given on the interferences, advantages and disadvantages, apparatus, reagents, procedure, calibration and standards, and calculations.
