Occupational characteristics of disabled workers, by disabling condition.
Occupational Health Program, Public Health Service, U.S. Department of HEW, Washington, D.C., Public Health Service Publication No. 1531, 1967 Jan; :1-322
Conditions for which disability awards were made during the years 1952 to 1962 are presented in a tabular form, based upon a 50% sample of all awards granted to males during this time period. The data are present in two tables. One table shows the number of awards by age at time of filing and by primary disease or condition which resulted in the disability. The second table presents the same data associated with each occupational group; it also includes a calculated index value denoted as a proportionate morbidity ratio of the number of disability awards to the expected number for an occupation-condition group.
