Abstract
Final report of NIOSH Training Grant T01-OH-00118 for research on acoustic environmental control. The training grant was for doctoral training only at the University of Pittsburgh and the aim was to develop a training program in noise that would provide both the breadth and speciality required to train individuals to become effective scientists in the problem area of Acoustic Environmental Control. The requirements for the doctoral degree in environmental acoustics are given, which include four courses in biostatistics, one course in epidemiology, one course in occupational medicine, and 13 courses in occupational health. Course requirements of the Master's program are also given. The activities of the Department of Industrial Environmental Health Sciences are described. (Grant No. T01-OH-00118)
