Basic Course Particulate Contaminants.
NIOSH 1972 Nov:237 pages
A basic course is developed for instruction in the basic understanding of particulate contaminants and methods available for collection and analysis of samples of airborne particulate contaminants. The course is designed for presentation at the college level, either in a two or four year curriculum, provided it is compatible with a proper balance of course materials in other aspects of environmental health. The contents include a series of three lectures each on the characteristics of particulate contaminants, and methods of sampling and analysis, and two laboratory exercises whereby students are given an opportunity to become familiar with sampling and characteristics of particulates, anatomical and physiological factors, sampling for particulates, sampling for respirable dust, and analysis of particulate samples.
