Report of a study done to develop, test, and evaluate a model program aimed at identifying health and safety problems in agriculture. Little information on problems related to the study and health of farmers, ranchers and farm workers was available. Most of the project involved information collection. Physical examinations were given to the people and their families, including laboratory tests and patient education. The examinations aided clinical education, as did the various activities outside the clinic. Few objective agriculture related problems were discovered, but clinical formats for examining and recording such problems were designed and tested. Subjective data revealed numerous health and safety problems. (Contract No 099-74-0027)
