The Evaluation of Four Analytical Methods for Determining Boron Trifluoride Concentrations.
Industrial Bio-Test Laboratories Inc., Northbrook, Ill., IBT No. 663-05569, 1975 Nov:30 pages
Four analytical methods for determining low level concentrations of boron-trifluoride (7637072) in the air were evaluated. The methods evaluated were: use of tetrafluoroborate specific ion electrode for determining boron-trifluoride collected by impinger techniques; the carmine method for monitoring low chamber concentrations of boron- trifluoride; quantitative determination of low levels of boron- trifluoride using infrared techniques; quantitative determination of low levels of boron-trifluoride using atomic absorption techniques. The results indicate that infrared techniques for the determination of boron-trifluoride could be developed but certain obstacles would first have to be overcome.
