Porous Polymer Sorbents for Analysis of Organic Air Pollutants.

A procedure is described for analysis of organic air pollutants, based on the use of porous polymer beads to trap the pollutants, and gas chromatographic analysis. Details are given of the characterization of the collection columns, advantages of porous polymer packings, sensitivity of procedure, apparatus, chromatograph detector, identification of components, and results of analysis of new car interior, and volatile organics near manufacturing sites.
