A Report on the Performance of Women's Safety-Toe Footwear.
NIOSH 1976 Jul:31 pages
Using relaxed test requirements in the men's footwear standard, the performance of 20 styles of women's safety-toe shoes was examined. In general, the results of this study indicate that women's safety- toe shoes will not meet even the least stringent requirements of the safety-toe footwear standard. The manufacturers make no claim about the performance of their women's shoe styles, and, consequently users have no guidance for purchase of shoes which will provide adequate protection.
