NIOSH Analytical Method, Yttrium, S200 (Set N).

A method is described for the analysis of yttrium (7440655) in the air by drawing a known volume of air through a cellulose membrane filter to collect the analyte followed by acid digestion and determination of yttrium with an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Data are given on the principle, range and sensitivity, precision, accuracy, advantages and disadvantages of the method. Also described are the apparatus, reagents and procedure used; analysis of samples; interferences; calibration and standards; and calculations.
