Vinyl chloride and mortality?
Wagoner JK; Infante PF; Saracci R
Lancet 1976 Jul; 308(7978):194-195
A brief communication questions a study made at British Petroleum which found no excess of cancer mortality in vinyl-chloride (75014) workers with at least 15 years exposure. A misallocation was made of person-years at risk with resultant erroneous conclusions. Standardization of data-handling techniques for cohort mortality studies is suggestion.
