Determination of facepiece carbon-dioxide concentration levels of self-contained breathing apparatus.
NIOSH 1975 Nov; :1-23
A test procedure is described for evaluating self-contained breathing apparatus by using a breathing machine, using human breathing characteristics, to give reproducible results of average concentration levels of residual exhaled carbon-dioxide (124389). Maximum permissible carbon-dioxide concentration levels acceptable as a function of the service time of the apparatus are given.
