Abstract
A health hazard evaluation was conducted at the G. A. Riddell Dental Clinic (SIC-8201) in Cody, Wyoming, to determine the concentration of inorganic mercury (7439976) in the breathing zone and general room air. The highest concentration found in the breathing zone was health hazard did not exist at the time of evaluation. Traces of mercury were found in 2 of 10 environmental samples, while direct reading measurements showed mercury contamination in several areas, especially on the carpet directly below the amalgam shaker and on the hands of workers handling the wet amalgam. One worker had chronic fatigue possible related to an occupational exposure.
