Industrial hygiene survey of the DuPont sulfuric acid plant North Bend, Ohio.
Cincinnati, OH: U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, Public Health Service, Centers for Disease Control, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, IWS 62-11, 1976 Feb; :1-6
The duPont sulfuric-acid (7664939) plant (SIC-2819) was visited to determine the feasibility of including the plant in the sulfate study. The plant is found to have essentially no potential for exposure to sulfates or sulfuric-acid mists, or even sulfur-dioxide (7446095) except under an upset condition which is infrequent. It is recommended that acid plants in general be rejected as study possibilities for the sulfate project, except as controls.
