Abstract
Health hazard evaluation data indicate that at the time of the evaluation, employees in the two main production areas of the Artex Manufacturing Company (SIC-3552), Overland Park, Kansas, are not exposed to toxic concentrations of vinyl-chloride (75014), 1,1,1- trichloroethane (1299894), toluene (108883), xylene (108383) and petroleum naphtha. Provision of local or slot ventilation, evaluation, and modification of periodic testing and maintenance program on the ventilation systems, and provision of tight tops for containers with dyes and solvents not in use are the measures recommended for ameliorating existing or potential hazards.
