Abstract
The goal in industrial hearing conservation is described as the prevention of any loss of hearing due to the individual's occupation and the early recognition of hearing loss. OSHA's noise standard provides requirements for personnel training, equipment, recording, and personal protection. Medical participation is emphasized as an important aspect of preservation of industrial workers' hearing.
