Abstract
Conditions in glass container plants are studied to determine the hottest plants and the hottest areas in those plants. Metabolic expenditure is calculated for workers in hot areas and cold areas of a plant. Data is given on accident frequency, resignations, and minor illness that may be associated with heat stress.
