Utah Biomedical Test Laboratory, Salt Lake City, Utah, TR 176-002, 1975 Jun:32 pages
A detailed research protocol is developed for an epidemiological study of farm workers exposed to noise, presenting a statement of the program including current understanding of epidemiological factors, relevant work, needed research, study plan, and resource requirements. The most important hazard posed by noise is the danger of producing damage to the hair cells of the inner ear, thereby causing a partial loss of hearing.
