First annual report on agricultural occupational illness and accident data.
Utah Biomedical Test Laboratory, University of Utah Research Institute, TR 175-001, 1975 Feb; :1-106
The first annual report is presented describing the collection of existing accident and illness data related to occupations in agriculture. The report provides information that can be analyzed to establish research project priority and gives a plan that embraces the preparation of selected technical papers, taking an expert opinion survey, and subsequent judgment of research priority. Recommendations are made for research projects in the fields of pesticide poisoning, respiratory disease related to agricultural operations, noise induced hearing loss, and whole body vibration. Appendices present a discussion of a subcontract project dealing with pesticides, the questionnaire to be used for the expert opinion survey, and papers on organophosphate foliar residues and health effects of vibration in agriculture.
