Instrumentation for work physiology.
Trans NY Acad Sci 1974 Nov; 36(7):625-639
Some extensively used instruments are reviewed and discussed in light of their contributions to the measurement of physiological responses to work. Particular emphasis is placed on field studies. The parameters that can be measured under field conditions and can be considered as indicative for physiological strain are lung ventilation, oxygen (7782447) and carbon-dioxide (124389) exchange, heart rate, and, to a certain extent, body temperature.
