A new design and coatings for piezoelectric crystals in measurement of trace amounts of sulfur dioxide.
Anal Chim Acta 1974 Aug; 71(2):419-424
A new design for the coated piezoelectric crystal detector cell is described; the new design provides very high sensitivity. Triethanolamine and quadrol are the substrates used for detection of sulfur dioxide. The new design and coatings together make possible the selective detection of sulfur dioxide in nitrogen even at ppb levels.
