Development of occupational standards.

The occupational health activities of NIOSH for the development of criteria and recommendations for occupational health standards are discussed, along with new issues and approaches for NIOSH to recommend health standards more rapidly than in the past. Changes in the process designed to alleviate problem areas include the preparation of work practice standards, and the addition of supplementary requirements to the existing promulgated standards.
