Cincinnati, OH: U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, Public Health Service, Centers for Disease Control, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, DHEW (NIOSH) Publication No. 75-148, 1975 Mar; :1-17
Evaluation is made of a heat stress instrument which integrates radiation, wet bulb and dry bulb temperature, air velocity and a simulation of metabolic rate into a single output reading. Test results are discussed and recommendations made regarding heat stress instrumentation development. Preliminary evaluation indicates the instrument is not suitable for field heat stress measurements.
