Abstract
Environmental and medical evaluation of a process for the coating of cellophane film reveals that employees receive short exposures to high concentrations of toluene (108883), tetrahydrofuran (109999), and isopropyl-alcohol (67630), with reversible symptoms of dizziness, headache, and eye irritation. Recommendations are made for local ventilation around dip tanks and use of respiratory protective equipment when cleaning equipment.
