Abstract
A preliminary report is presented of a survey carried out at a sandblasting yard in the New Orleans region on November 13, 1973. Of the four sandblasters working in the yard blasting the exterior of a large boat, two wore regular non-air-supplied hoods, but nine wore a respirator under the hood. Concentration of stan-blast dust in the air in various hood conditions and also in ambient air of blasting site is given as are also mass and concentration of various size categories of stan-blast dust collected by Andersen Multistage Non-Viable Samplers at the blasting area.
