Lung cancer among uranium miners in the United States.

Excess respiratory cancer is shown among all groups of uranium miners having more than 120 Working Level Months of radon daughter exposure, cancer incidence rising with increasing exposure. Factors distorting the exposure-response relationship include cigarettes but permissible levels should not be set in relation to such factors.
