Abstract
NIOSH recommendations for an occupational exposure standard for chloroform include: air concentration, air sampling and analysis, medical examinations, posting areas in which there is occupational exposure to chloroform (67663), personal protective equipment, informing employees of hazards from chloroform, work practices, monitoring and recordkeeping. Topics reviewed include: the biological effects of exposure to chloroform, environmental concentrations, environmental sampling, biological evaluation of the environment, development of a standard for exposure to chloroform, and work practices.
