The concentration of Dykem Steel Blue, a mixture of butyl-acetate (123864), ethyl-acetate (141786), and ethyl-alcohol (64175), in the air of a carpet manufacturing plant is well below the established standards, even though the concentrations could be much higher occasionally, as demonstrated by complaints of eye irritation made by employees. Recommendations are made to management to obviate the potential hazard to affected personnel.
