Abstract
Review of the set of performance and quality control standards for gas detector tubes adopted by NIOSH following evaluations of commercial gas detector tubes. Commercial tubes must meet the standards to be considered acceptable for NIOSH and OSHA use. Reference is made to the NIOSH testing program in Morgantown, West Virginia. Details are given of the most important requirements.
