NIOSH 1973 Jan; :114 pages
The criteria and the recommended standard based thereon are presented for meeting the need for preventing occupational diseases arising from exposure to arsenic (7440382) and its inorganic compounds other than arsine (7784421) and lead arsenate (7645252). The proposed standard applies only to the processing, manufacture, and use of arsenical products as applicable under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, and is not designed for the population at large. Topics include: biological effects of exposure; environmental data and biologic evaluation; personal protective equipment and clothing; sampling and analysis methods and equipment; monitoring; engineering environmental control and sanitation; labeling and employee information; exposure reporting; toxic effects on humans and animals; safe work practices; and preventive medicine.
