Report of Survey of Tuscaloosa Metallurgy Research Laboratory.
NIOSH 1967 Aug:9 pages
A medical and environmental monitoring program for tetrabromoethane, threshold limit value of 1 part per million in air, is conducted in production of spodumene concentrates in a heavy liquid separation plant for ores. A combination of local exhaust and high-dilution rates are cited for keeping air concentrations of tetrabromoethane below safe limits. Design features are given for the pilot concentration plant, and ventilation and monitoring systems; and physical, chemical, and toxic properties are given for tetrabromoethane.
