Effects of noise on work performance.

The environmental, human, and task factors which singly or in combination influence noise effects on performance are discussed. Topics include: analysis of the effects of various types of noise and music at several loudness levels and continuity patterns; evaluation of performance changes in response to noise combined with other types of environmental stress; the types of tasks used in noise sensitivity testing; human factors and noise performance effects, and theoretical concepts of performance in noise.
