The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Fire Fighter Fatality Investigation Prevention Program (FFFIPP) conducts independent investigations of firefighter line-of-duty deaths and recommends ways to prevent deaths and injuries. The overall objective of Fire Service Community and interested parties meeting is to determine how  the program could improve it’s impact on the safety and health of firefighters in the United States.  See about the program for more information.
